BCOE CHARTER SCHOOL AUTHORIZATION AND OVERSIGHT

The charter oversight office coordinates the programmatic and fiscal oversight for charter schools approved by the Butte County Board of Education and serves as a resource to the Butte County's charter schools. Charter oversight work is intended to support the Butte County Office of Education’s commitment to the success of every student and the excellence of every educator.

Shirley Williams is the Special Projects Administrator for School & Community Wellness and Charter Oversight.

She has had the privilege of serving as a teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, principal, district EL director,

and county office curriculum and instruction administrator.
